Twelve months on from the election, we size up the winners, losers, risks and opportunities.

Just over a year ago there were grave warnings about the risks that New Zealand would face were they to require Christopher Luxon to form a coalition with both the Act Party and New Zealand First. Were those doomsayers (John Key, Chris Bishop, etc) right? To mark the year since the election, Toby Manhire, Annabelle Lee-Mather and Ben Thomas chew it all over in a new episode of our politics podcast Gone By Lunchtime.

On the agenda: Where has coalition over- and underachieved? How has the CEO managed that coalition, given HR challenges such as Winston Peters and David Seymour? What does the new Verian/1News poll tell us about the effort to date? How about the opposition parties, how are they doing?

Who are the standout or surprise performers across parliament? Who has underwhelmed? What looms in the year to come? What are the tripwires and opportunities? How come the GBL team are banging on about Judith Collins? Is this too many questions? Probably yes.
